Huafu Chemicals is sharing some professional testing data on formaldehyde migration in high-temperature about melamine tableware.
Testing Method: soak 3% acetic acid solution at different temperatures for 0.5 hour, 2 hours. Look at the result below.
Effect of soaking temperature on formaldehyde migration mg/kg

According to the figure, the three types of tableware are basically free of formaldehyde monomer migration under cold storage condition.
* At 40℃, the migration of formaldehyde from the three types of tableware is less than 5 mg / kg, and the regulated limit in the EU is 15 mg / kg.
* At 80℃ and above, the migration of formaldehyde greatly exceeds the prescribed limit. As the immersion temperature increases, the amount of migration increases dramatically.
* At 80℃, the migration amount of formaldehyde shows a sudden increase, reaching the maximum at 100℃.
The experimental results show that the immersion temperature increases, the dissociation degree increases, the surface density decreases, and the gloss decreases. So melamine tableware is microwave forbidden. We could use ozone disinfection cabinet or disinfection liquid instead.
Now, let's look at the testing data of Huafu melamine disc. Melamine moulding compound produced by Huafu Chemicals has passed SGS testing, even excellent in quality. If you are tableware factories, please feel free to contact us for best price and free information.
